Black Mountain, NC — [09/17/25] — Parameter Generation & Control is pleased to announce that Geoffrey Cook has stepped into the role of Director of Engineering, bringing nearly a decade of hands-on experience with the company and a proven track record of leadership.
Geoffrey first joined Parameter in 2016 after relocating to Asheville, beginning his career in the test department. He then moved into service support, where he led and expanded the department for four years before advancing to Chief Operating Officer. After a successful year as COO, Geoffrey now directs the engineering team, where he plays a critical role in shaping the company’s product innovation and long-term strategy.
With a background in Geology and Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Geoffrey has also pursued further studies in electrical circuit analysis, programming, philosophy, and business management. His well-rounded education & expertise positions him to bridge technical innovation with practical application, ensuring designs move efficiently from concept to production.
As Director of Engineering, Geoffrey’s priorities include advancing new technologies, refining processes, and ensuring Parameter’s products maintain the highest standards of quality and reliability. Under his leadership, the engineering team is currently focusing on:
- Natural Refrigerants (0 GWP / Propane): Developing environmentally responsible solutions that support global sustainability goals.
- Component Health Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance: Improving performance and reliability through proactive data-driven insights.
- Machine Intelligence and Networking Capabilities: Enhancing equipment with smart technology that enables seamless communication across systems.
