Meet our dedicated team members
Clay Hile, son of Parameter’s co-founder Jack Hile, has been in the business of precise humidity control for more than 32 years. After earning a degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Hile joined Parameter and has been the company’s president for the last 29 years. He has been closely involved in the design, engineering and marketing of new Parameter systems to provide tighter control characteristics to industries that include semiconductor, pharmaceutical, electronic, pulp and paper, and calibration. In 2007, Hile and other investors launched Precision Stability Storage, LLC, in a strategic alliance partnership with Parameter to provide offsite storage space for highly regulated industries that require specific conditions. Away from work, Hile enjoys spending time with his wife and family. He also likes to play tennis, hike and travel.
It’s safe to say that Ross Hile is the longest-serving Parameter employee. He, along with his father, Jack Hile, co-founded the company in 1977, after purchasing manufacturing rights, spare parts and drawings from American Instrument Company for their line of humidity and temperature conditioning products. He also advocated for Parameter to develop and manufacture new systems to increase the company’s product line and is responsible for engineering and designing several generations of rooms and chambers. Through the years, Hile has been responsible for upgrading or co-engineering controls from mechanical to analog to now digital. He still serves as the principal partner at Parameter as well as the engineering manager and managing partner of Precision Stability Storage, LLC, with whom Parameter has a strategic alliance partnership. He received his bachelor’s of science in education from Western Carolina University.
